| Journalists Elaine Pearson and Carl Styants have spent the last 15 years working for some of Britain's biggest magazines and newspapers. Here Elaine explains why they set up Pearson Press Agency
Before starting a family and going freelance I was Features Editor for top-selling true-life weekly TV Quick. My partner Carl worked for almost a decade at Take a Break, the biggest selling magazine in Britain. He was deputy editor there and also launch editor of Full House magazine.
So we’ve learned how the system works from the inside. We know what the editors want and how to tailor copy for different publications. Over the years we’ve written stories from hundreds of people stories that have been happy and sad, shocking and uplifting. Every one has left an impression.
We understand that appearing in a magazine or newspaper can seem a little daunting. But we will help you through the process right from the start. And we will always make sure your expectations are realistic. This way you can be confident in the decisions you make.
As we're not tied to any one publication we can shop around and in many cases get editors competing for your story. Then we'll contact you to tell you the best offers. It couldn't be easier for you. What's more, our fee is paid separately by the publication so our service to you is completely free.
We look forward to hearing from you.
