You can expect to be paid anything from £200 up to £2000 or more, depending on how big your story makes, what the photos are like and how many magazines start bidding with us.

• One-off events, such as house fires or operations usually earn £200-£300
  
  
• Relationship stories, involving love, loss or betrayal, with partners or family members, should earn up to £500 or more
  
  
• Stories with great photos, which can be used on several pages of a magazine, can easily earn up to £1000 or more
  
  
• Real sagas, involving shocking crimes, battles against illness, and ongoing stories that can be serialised usually earn the most money – up to £2000! And if we think your story could make a headline on the cover of a national newspaper you could double that!
